Bad credit history or reference

HEL runs as a business and therefore does not unwittingly take on those with bad credit history or poor references. At the same time we recognise mistakes and errors of judgement are made and an applicant for a tenancy having learnt could/might make an acceptable tenant.

We are willing to look at those with County Court Judgements (CCJs) and/or bad references and may be willing to accept them as tenants. Acceptance will involve a full disclosure of the background and evidence the particular circumstances are under control.

Having examined the background, on acceptance we may insist on different criteria to our normal policy in relation to rent payment.
